I moved from Florida to New York on a whim. I'm inspired by self-made people who work hard for what they have.

I started designing as a ninth grader in high school, and quickly became obsessed. After working as the Editor-In-Chief of my high school yearbook, I enrolled in the University of South Florida's School of Mass Communications. I worked as a newspaper correspondent for USF's student daily paper while writing and designing at a local start-up magazine. In 2009, I graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in magazine journalism.

I've worked as a Graphic Designer at a leading printing company and a Senior Graphic Designer at a national retail company. I currently freelance for Valpak of Tampa Bay and work as a Senior Art Director at a leading advertising agency on Long Island. I've designed for several industries, including retail, medical, automotive, beauty, hospitality and others. I'm a hard worker who lives up to her expectations.

What people are saying about me

“Working with Kara has been very easy and a great experience. She was consistently on time with every project and was very creative. I recommend her highly to anyone looking for a professional, talented, reliable, creative, easy going graphic designer that stays calm even when deadlines are near."

Billy Arnold, Creative Director, Uniform City

“Kara was my student in PR Research during the summer of 2008, and she might be the only student in the history of my teaching this class to receive an A+ in the course. She is obviously an intelligent and hard working student. Kara produced a research report that was absolutely outstanding. I currently use the report as an example for my students. Kara would make a great addition to any company and I highly recommend her.”
